OOOH THE DAY WHEN CONTESTS LIKE EVO CHAMPIONSHIPS WERE COMMON AROUND THE COUNTRY

There are less competitions now a days but its good to know that the Evo championships in Las Vegas is still going strong. The strong number of fighting games coming out this fall should produce a bit of a surge of competition and produce more events like this. Can't wait to see how Evo 2009 going to turn out.

NEW XBLA GAME WAR WORLD MECH GAME

I heared about this game in 2007 and it finally going to be released for live arcade on October 1. 800 point seem to be reasonable. I hope the action is solid.

MAKING THE GAMESTOP MADCATZ 360 GAME PAD A BETTER FIGHTER PAD

Even tho the Gamestop madcatz pad may be a pain ot the fps fans out there, its actually a very good fighter pad. The buttons are more closer together than the official pad and a bit more responsive. The d-pad is an improvement, but can be modified to a smoother d-pad to put less pain in the thumbs that are forcefully rubbed against them. All you need is a nail file.



The lower edges need to be filed down to a round end to make easier the transition of making a fire ball, dragon punch or just about any quart circle movements easier.

The lower part of the d-pad needs to be filed down just enough to round the line edges.

Well... for me this and my arcade stick will have to hold me off until the Street fighter 4 6 button fighter pads are release. By the way it plays on Street Fighter Ann. , Guilty Gear X2, and Samurai Showdown 2 live, I don't mind at all.

GOUKEN ( THE MASTER OF RYU & KEN) IS GOING TO BE PLAYABLE IN STREET FIGHTER 4

Finally, after years of wanting to have a Akuma and Gouken fight it now happening. I remember when the Street fighter 3 Impact came out, there was talk of Gouken in that one. He was not ,but it did not stop many to try and find him. This game has just been raised in magnitude.

GAMETAP FIGHTER CLASSICS FOR FREE

Many of you may already know about Gametap, but there are a great number of great fighting game classics availible on Gametap for free. The games run great if you meet the requirement , but don't expect the online mode to run like live. The online mode can get extremely laggy at times and the advertising on the free addition can be a little troublesome. If you want game like the Street Fighter Alpha series and King of the Fighters 2000 you have to go gold or sign up to pay. I'm sticking to live for my online fighting.

DC WONDER WOMAN ANIMATED MOVIE TRAILER

Yet, another super hero animated movie and it seem to be following the improved animation and story trend effecting the latest in comics to animated movies. This is a must see when its released.

A BETTER PIC OF THE NEW MADCATZ STREETFIGHTER FIGHTER PAD

The d-pad has an interesting cap design to it. I'm hoping it responds well and not to much of a open gate between angles. I am definitely reserving one before release, because there probably going to be a short supply of them after a month or so. Yes, I do have an good arcade stick , but to me the responds time on a fighter pad is way quicker. Click the pic above to enlarge for a better view.

MADCATZ BRING THE SIX BUTTON 360 FIGHTER PAD

Madcatz finally decieded to bring out a six button fighter pad ,that was presented at the gamestop convention, for the 360, which looks simular to the dreamcast madcatz six button controller ( I still have mine and still use it with the Marvel vs series, King of The Fighters series, and Street Fighter Third Strike) that was pretty good with the fighters on the classic machine. I have been waiting since Street Fighter 2 came out on live for such a pad to be announced. The arcade sticks look pretty good too, but I already have a sturdy arcade stick. Now, all they have to do is release it and all will be well with the force. 8)

NEW MORTAL KOMBAT CHARACTERS ANNOUNCED

Shao Kahn and Baraka have been announced for Mortal Kombat vs DC. The line up is looking better and better by the update. If there was a Marvel vs Mortal Kombat a Baraka vs Logan match would be thebattle to look for. Oh well, you never know... it could happen. In the mean while, this will do nicely. Deathstroke from DC is set to make an appearance in Mortal Kombat vs DC to contribute to the growing number of ninjas to show up in Mortal Kombat. I couldn't be more happier to have the Marvel equivalent of Deadpool to beat the skin flake off all challenger on live. 8)

SAMURAI SHOWDOWN 2 800 points not 400

Couple of days a go all over the web it was stated that SS2 was 400 points. Evidently that is wrong, because to my surprise this morning I awoke to a 800 point SS2 listed online. Oh well... I'm getting it anyway next week when I buy more points. See on the pointy side of my blade next week online. 8)

SAMURAI SHOWDOWN 2 ON XBOX LIVE THIS WENSDAY

Yesss... Samurai Showdown 2 is coming to live and not just that, its coming this Wensday. I have to wait next week, because I just bought UT 3 for 360 (I have the pc version too, but its great on the 360 with split screen). Next week I'm going to be cutting into some of my live fighter pals. "Think you going to spam that move... I got a counter for ya." 8)

THE NEW KING OF THE FIGHTER DREAM MATCH 98 REMAKE IS GOIMG TO XBOX LIVE

YESSSSSSSSSS... When Street Fighter 2 Turbo came out I said it was great and the icing on the cake would be King of the fighters the 2d series on xbox live. When I got a copy of Street Fighter Anniversary on xbox to play on 360 and Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD demo, I said the same thing. Now it has been announced that King of the fighter Dream match 98 remake ( the original is one of my all time favorites in the series ) is coming to xbox live. I could not stop grinning for a good 2 minutes. Now we can enjoy King of the fighters with more players not like the one or two player on Neowave And 2002/2003. XBOX360FANBOY posted more info "HERE". I can't wait for this one to come out. Well... bust out your Dreamcast and ps2 version and start practicing, because I'm boss with Kyo. Later...
